Leadership
Cheraton has 10+ years of experience in strategic planning, project management and building collaborations to generate new ideas. To Cheraton, good leadership means being open and available to hearing all perspectives and including these important insights in the decision-making process. The City Council is responsible for providing leadership and services to every Thomasville resident. Our city is stronger when the leadership sets the tone with a clear and forward-thinking plan for success. 2020 will be an important year for Thomasville to set a vision of where we want to go and who we want to be.
Community
Community means we all must give our time and talent to move us forward. Local government is not the only source of influence or change in our communities. It will be extremely important to partner with citizens, local organizations and community leaders to address our needs. We, as residents of Thomasville, are our own best assets and advocates. Let's work together to make this the best place for us all to live, work, play and thrive!
Economic Development
Thomasville continues to grow and can definitely share many success stories of supporting new businesses. Continued efforts to improving the quality of life in our city include supporting business recruitment and expansion and focusing on entrepreneurship and workforce development including strengthening partnerships with Davidson County Community College and the Thomasville City Schools District. City leaders also need to branch out to learn best practices in neighboring cities in Davidson County and throughout the Piedmont Triad region.
